FOR THE 2023-24 PROJECT
Please complete the provided registration form, after which a mentor from The Queen In Me will reach out to them. The project comprises three main phases based on age groups:
BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS
Ages 6 – 10
All girls need a healthy, sensible start to life. As they begin their journey to adolescence, The Queen In Me project will assist the girls in identifying their own self worth and share the tools necessary to provide these girls a strong foundation so they enter adolescence with a healthy self-image and self- confidence.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES
Ages 11 – 14
Middle school is a bridge from girlhood to being a teenager, It is the time of transition and rapid body development. The Queen In Me seeks to nurture these youth and young adult girls through this volatile life stage so they feel accepted and worthwhile and then emerge as vibrant, confident, and assured young ladies.
BEAUTIFUL BEACONS
Ages 15 – 18
Young ladies in high school and college are searching for independence and identity. Their personal needs and priorities are the basis for goals they set for their lives. They are ready to prepare for future careers and roles. The Queen In Me seeks to support the young ladies in discovering their potential.
The young ladies will occasionally gather as one large group to participate in community service activities.
HOPE mentoring will help your daughter
HOPE - Mentoring Model
A HOPE Mentor is a caring adult who supports a young person through a guided relationship that will faster the resilience needed for the young person to achieve success as she navigates through adolescence.
A HOPE Mentor participates in training to learn essential skills and processess to help build a girls self-esteem, help her become a stronger leader and help her ser and achieve goals. HOPE Mentors understand they are to support the girl, not parent, judge or control her life.
Mentoring works as proven by the national evaluation of Big Brothers Big Sisters by Public Private Ventures After an 18 month period, the study showed that compared to the control group, those youth who had a mentor skipped fewer days of school were less physically aggresseve, had more positive relationships and had higher grades.
